Gathering seafood by hand

Since time immemorial, the sea has been an important source of food for humans. Over the centuries, the inhabitants of the coast have been able to take advantage of the resources made available to them by the sea. Requiring little equipment, gathering seafood by hand has always been part of human activity, for trade purposes or to improve daily life.

Today, there are very few professional shore-gathering fishermen left. Holidaymakers and locals mainly gather seafood on the coast as a leisure activity.
