Château de Canon

Preserved intact since the 18th century, the Canon estate was created by Jean-Baptiste Elie de Beaumont, a famous lawyer of the Enlightenment who left his mark on the architectural and landscape ensemble of Canon with his spirit and personality.

Guided tours of the castle every day at 15:00 p.m. and 16:45 p.m. in July and August. (duration of visit: 1 hour)
Storytelling tours every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in July and August. (45mins)

This estate is classified as a Historic Monument and benefits from the Remarkable Garden label, due to the exceptional ensemble formed by its regular flowerbeds, its wild groves, and its period factories (Chinese kiosks, Greco-Roman temple). Called a transitional garden, it is designed both in the French and in the English style, and teems with a multitude of streams, waterfalls, canals, which accompany the walker. The visit ends in the Chartreuses, a dazzling ensemble of thirteen walled gardens in a row, entirely planted with perennials. A veritable open-air greenhouse, unique in France.

Also on site: shop, tea room, retro games, playground, treasure hunt for children...

The measures in place for visitors:

Wearing a mask optional but recommended in reception
Ticket office - Shop: One family at a time in the reception area
Walk in the garden: Respect the direction of traffic, avoid touching the railings
Mandatory gel at the entrance and exit (terminals provided for this purpose :))
If possible, book your tickets in advance on our online ticket office
