SAVIGNAC ROUTE

Stroll on the footsteps of Savignac !

In 1979, after regularly staying at the seaside resort from an early age, Raymond Savignac decided to settle permanently in Trouville. He went on to illustrate some thirty local events.

In 1987, he donated around 250 posters and 8 models to the museum. Soon after, the town and more specifically the Tourist Office asked him to design a graphic charter which would later become the town's emblem.

Since his death in 2002, a dozen posters by Raymond Savignac have been reproduced on the walls of the city. He used to say that "the poster is the daughter of the streets, it is there that it expresses itself best". The trail "In the footsteps of Savignac" takes you to discover the places where Savignac left his mark.
