A more than positive assessment with animations displaying complete!

The Tourist Office experienced magical Christmas holidays, with a higher attendance rate than before the health crisis, +3% compared to 2019 over the same period, with a marked peak in the second week. The majority of tourists came from the territory or the region (Caen, Lisieux, Normandy in general) but also from Paris and Belgium. The animations were sold out.

The activities were numerous: creation of a Christmas village, making decorations, greeting cards or even personalizing Christmas socks and creating crackers. These 5 workshops brought together more than forty children. The showcase game always seduces with sixty-five participants. But Christmas this year was also events such as:

  • Quest in Trouville 2 : the first part was rewarded in Paris with the Bronze Hashtag in the Game and entertainment category. The Tourist Office offered the continuation of this unique concept in France, bringing together escape game, magic, scripted and interactive treasure hunt. This game remains online all year round on the Facebook page of the same name.
  • Screening of the film “Le Pôle Express” on Wednesday December 29 at the Cures Marines, this classic was sold out.
  • Animation “sound and lights”: this night projection dressed the Town Hall with a Christmas story from 26 to 31 December. Elves and snowmen passed from window to window to the delight of spectators and passers-by.
  • On the evening of December 31, two sublime luminous stilt-walkers dressed in white strolled through the city to meet passers-by. Going up the rue des Bains to the rhythm of a waltz worthy of a fairy tale, wonder was at the rendezvous.

But the most magical moment of this Christmas 2021 remains the arrival of Santa Claus himself. He gave his precious time to receive all those who wanted it in a living room with decorations made by To Do Prod. In love with the city, the tall bearded man dressed in red crisscrossed the streets thanks to the little train and was able to meet the many tourists present in the city. More than 280 people were able to meet him, 150 of whom left with a photo portrait taken by Bab XIII. Stardust has indeed fallen on the city again this year.

After a short rest, the elves of the Tourist Office are already working on the winter holidays and have some great entertainment and surprises in store for you!
