Drum roll… After almost a year of juggling caffeine and pixels, it's finally here: the brand new website for the Trouville-sur-Mer Tourist Office is online!

A website is a bit like a haircut: you pamper it for 5 years, then one day, you realize it's a bit outdated (thanks to new digital trends), and hey presto, you change everything. Which is what we did this year! After 5 years of loyal service, our old site was starting to get tired. It was high time to give it a well-deserved retirement and unveil our brand new version, fresh and spiffy.

For those who don't know, a website isn't just a pretty facade to look at. Behind it, it's a real construction site! And yes, everything you see, read, and click on is the result of human labor—no, not robots (sorry to break the illusion).

But why so much time, you might ask? Well, it's simple: we wanted to offer you an ultra-intuitive site, whether you're a curious local, an enthusiastic tourist, or a demanding professional. Our mantra? "Find information as quickly as possible and with as few clicks as possible."

And to get there, we did a major spring cleaning! Deleted pages galore, merged duplicate information... In short, we halved the number of pages! The result: four sections as clear as sea water (or almost): Discover, Things to do, Where to stay?, Where to eat ?. Easy, right?

And as we love our local partners (Hello, partners!), we've also thought of you. The site now offers you an even more beautiful place with direct access to your offers. It's our way of saying thank you for your support!

For the professionals, we have also planned a small VIP corner: a space dedicated to partners, media and groups (yes, we think of everyone). You will find everything you need to work with us and make Trouville-sur-Mer shine.

The real star of this makeover? Simplicity! No more information fighting with each other, instead, clean pages, striking photos, and text that gets straight to the point. We've opted for the principle of "Less is more," or as we say here: "Less, but better."

In short, after a year of juggling between the teams of the Tourist and Attractiveness Office, the content creation agency, the agency in charge of creating the site, the photographers, the project managers in the Calvados department, our little gem is finally in your hands.

And because we're always open to bright ideas (or even small suggestions), don't hesitate to tell us what you think. If you see something to improve or a cool gadget to add, tell us ! Nothing is set in stone… or in algorithms.

Have you made it this far? Thank you so much! Now that you're practically an expert on our new site, we'd like to share some of our thoughts on this project and its redesigned code.

Trouville-sur-Mer is and will remain the Queen of Beaches, which has a history closely linked to artists, a rich heritage... But which also has an urban culture, where people go fishing on foot in vests and jellyfish, it is the businessmen who buy their fresh fish from the back of the boats, it is the mixture of populations and generations.

Here, we're hedonistic, bold, simple, bohemian, creative, and vibrant. In short, we simply enjoy life's little pleasures!

Here, we dare to embrace contradictions and cultural clashes, creating bridges between populations, generations, cultures and the arts.

Here, there's no inhibition: fishermen and businessmen rub shoulders, Belle Époque villas and campsites sit side by side, and museums and street art face each other.

Here, beauty is within everyone's reach and goodness is everywhere, from the fish market to gourmet restaurants, including food trucks and ice cream parlors.

Trouville-sur-Mer remains the Queen of Beaches, but with jellyfish on its feet, ready to collect shells for dinner with its tribe!

The art of being free... to write as we see fit! As you browse our site, you'll notice that the tone has become a little less informal, but don't worry, it's still just as informative! We've chosen simplicity, and that starts with our content. Texts and photos have all been updated! And the cherry on top: get ready to discover our little jokes, endless rhymes, and even a few puns that are... how can I put this... a little far-fetched. But we couldn't keep it all to ourselves any longer!

The Trouville-sur-Mer Tourist Office website recently changed its color palette, moving from green and gold to electric blue and vibrant yellow. But why this choice? Mainly to attract attention and stand out from other seaside resorts on the coast. These bright, vibrant colors are designed to be memorable and make an impression.

And let's be honest, a little pop of color really adds a little pep! Are you tired of the gray weather? One visit to our site and you'll be immersed in a bright blue sky and a vivid yellow sunset. Instantly, you'll feel like you're on vacation, ready to stock up on vitamin D before you even pack your bags!

The slogan “The art of being free” perfectly embodies the essence of Trouville-sur-Mer. First, “art” echoes the logo design, designed by Savignac, an emblematic figure of the town. It also reflects the tourist office's decidedly arty positioning. But beyond that, it's also a unique art of living, a lifestyle driven by pleasure, lightness, and a bohemian spirit.

As for "freedom," it symbolizes the possibility of being oneself, without constraints or dress codes, whether alone or surrounded by others. Trouville-sur-Mer is the freedom to choose between sea and countryside, celebration and heritage, modernity and authenticity. Finally, it is the feeling of infinity that the sea provides, an invitation to escape, without limits.

This slogan reflects a modern and bohemian brand image, marked by a mix of contrasts and a refusal of conformity. Trouville-sur-Mer is the art of embracing life with freedom and creativity!
