A bottle dripping on the terrace, a jar of jam emptied after the market, a few bottles from the weekend: in Trouville-sur-Mer as throughout the Côte Fleurie, glass is part of everyday life — and too often, of the wrong bin.
La Cœur Côte Fleurie Community of Municipalities launches a new campaign to give it back the path it deserves: the recycling bin.
Glass, a resource that does not wear out
Beer or rosé bottles, jam jars, fish market containers, bottles of all kinds: all these containers have one thing in common, they are infinitely recyclable. Every bottle sorted correctly means a resource preserved and waste avoided. Yet, every year, they still 1,000 tonnes of glass which end up in the household waste of the territory rather than in a sorting container.

A simple gesture, with no excuse to reject it
Good news: recycling glass requires neither rinsing nor meticulous sorting. Bottles, jars, and containers are simply placed in the bin empty—no need to wash them before putting them in. Year-round residents, second-home owners, shopkeepers, or visitors: everyone can contribute, at their own pace, without any special effort.
- Bottles (glass, fruit juice, rosé…)
- Jars and containers of jam or preserves
- Glass vials
Where to find the nearest charging station
To locate the nearest glass recycling point to your home, the Communauté de Communes Cœur Côte Fleurie provides an interactive mapA doubt about a container, a practical question? The Cœur Côte Fleurie team can still be contacted directly.

The campaign covers the entire intercommunal territory — Bénerville-sur-Mer, Blonville-sur-Mer, Deauville, Saint-Arnoult, Saint-Gatien-des-Bois, Saint-Pierre-Azif, Touques, Tourgéville, Trouville-sur-Mer, Vauville, Villers-sur-Mer and Villerville — with a common objective: to make sorting a gesture as natural as a stroll on the boardwalk.
One small gesture, one big difference
It's neither complicated nor restrictive: the next bottle emptied on the patio or the next jar of jam finished, it goes in the collection point rather than the bin. A gesture of a few seconds, repeated by everyone, is enough to conserve a resource and reduce our waste.
That's it, quite simply. the art of being free : enjoy the summer in Trouville-sur-Mer, with a light heart and a clear conscience.
