You should know that about 7,7 billion cigarette butts are thrown on the ground each year in France and that a single cigarette butt can pollute up to 500 liters of water.
As for bottle caps, made from steel, they can take up to 100 years to degrade even though they can be recycled! In addition, abandoned capsules can be dangerous, they can injure, in particular holidaymakers on the beach or even cleaning agents.
In addition, some waste is not necessarily picked up because it is too difficult to collect. This is particularly the case with chewing gum, which takes about 5 years to decompose. They are so difficult to clean and require such an energy, water and time-intensive process that municipalities often forgo it.
