Chateau and Gardens of Boutemont

Remarkable gardens and a historic castle
Let yourself be seduced by the elegance of the gardens of the Château de Boutemont and the history of its walls with the discovery of the three historic rooms open to visitors: the Gothic lounge, the lodge and the gallery.
From the entrance, a majestic cedar avenue guides you to the drawbridge and the castle postern. On each side, perfectly symmetrical box and yew hedges create a harmonious setting. Halfway, two century-old cedars display their imposing canopy.
In these gardens, topiary art enhances the château and its outbuildings, showcasing impeccably trimmed plant forms. Hornbeam cones line the moats, while a grassy path lined with box and yew, punctuated by Medici terracotta vases, leads to a turret of the château. The water mirror, designed by the famous landscaper Achille Duchêne, reflects the beauty of the site, framed by ribbons of beech trees in a Florentine motif.
Explore the five green rooms of the thematic gardens: the Italian Garden, the White Garden, the Zen Garden, the Ginkgo Garden and the Purple Garden. Not forgetting the Garden of Love or the elegant waves of boxwood.
In the park, climb the feudal mound, or stroll under the flowering apple trees towards the rose bench.

After the visit, take a lunch break or a snack at "L'Orangerie", our crêperie/tea room nestled in the heart of the orangery and the greenhouse, surrounded by flowery terraces.
