Saturday, September 20 at 10 a.m.
Office de Tourisme 32 boulevard Fernand Moureaux 14360 TROUVILLE-SUR-MER
As part of the European Heritage Days 2025, explore the historic district of Trouville-sur-Mer with the Compagnons de la Chapelle Saint-Jean.
Meet at 10:30 a.m. from the Tourist Office (32 Boulevard Fernand Moureaux). Free tour, reservation required at the Tourist Office or via our online ticket office from September 1st.
Nestled at the foot of the Callenville valley, the Saint-Jean district is the ancient heart of Trouville-sur-Mer. Dominated by the bell tower of the old Saint-Jean-Baptiste church, it preserves traces of the village of yesteryear. From alleys to memories, you will walk in the footsteps of the Trouvillais of yesteryear: from Quernet to the cove, from Madame de Boigne's house to the Saint-Jean chapel, passing by the former Estimauville property and the very first cemetery of the town. The history of the church, the birth of the hospice, the acts of generosity that shaped this district will be recounted to you as you walk.
A guided tour to reconnect with the city's roots and rediscover an often overlooked heritage.
