From June 23 to July 25, 2025, the Villa Montebello Museum and the Antonio Pérez Foundation invite you to discover the poetic and unique universe of the artist Alejandra Freymann, exhibited at the Trouville-sur-Mer Town Hall.
An artist with Mexican, Spanish, and Belgian roots, Alejandra Freymann grew up and studied in Spain, where she now teaches art. A passionate painter, she is currently in an artist residency in Trouville-sur-Mer, where she gives free rein to her imagination.
During this month in Normandy, she drew inspiration from the landscapes that surrounded her—between sea and mountains—to create unique works, blending memories, sensations, and old postcards. Her paintings depict mental landscapes, invented rather than observed, imbued with poetry and intimacy. She also confides that she first saw a green ray in the sky over Trouville during a sunset: a rare phenomenon that marked her stay and fueled her inspiration.
The exhibition reveals this sensitive dialogue between an artist and a territory, between Normandy and Castile-La Mancha, between what we see... and what we imagine.
